California State and District Court Practice: Ms. Hiser represents institutional and individual clients in litigation in the California state and federal district courts. Her experience includes general business and commercial litigation, breach of contract, real estate, eminent domain, and insurance coverage litigation.

Ms. Hiser also has extensive experience in complex multi-party product liability and mass tort litigation. She has represented automobile manufacturers, pesticide, printing ink and other chemical manufacturers, tire manufacturers and asbestos manufacturers and suppliers against both individual and mass toxic tort claims. She tried a wrongful death toxic tort claim against a printing ink manufacturer to successful defense verdict. She has also represented one of the largest car manufacturers in numerous product defect cases, including two that went to trial and resulted in a defense verdict and nonsuit.
 

Bankruptcy Litigation and Appeals Practice: Ms. Hiser represents creditors in all phases of Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, including contested matters related to asset sales, assumption and rejection of executory contracts and leases, relief from stay, plan confirmation, and the use of cash collateral; dischargeability, preference and fraudulent transfer actions; motions to compel payment of administrative expenses, and claim objections. Ms. Hiser has tried dozens of adversary proceedings before the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California. Ms. Hiser has prosecuted and defended bankruptcy appeals successfully before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. Hiser has also represented commercial lenders in actions to appoint receivers, breach of contract actions and all aspects of bankruptcy litigation.
